The theme of the Amsterdam Light festival 2025-2026 is Legacy. From 27 November until 18 January, 20 works of light art will stand in and along the Amsterdam canals. The artists from all over the world have each given their own interpretation of the theme, from impressive large scale pieces to small statements.
The theme focuses on what we leave behind as people, what stories we pass on, and how we are or want to be remembered. Legacies can be big or small, from large historical events to small personal stories passed on between generations. The artworks all explore this theme in different ways, with artworks with different shapes and sizes, placed on different locations, from right on the canals to the roof of a house.

The Light Festival Cruises from LOVERS
