About us

LOVERS Canal Cruise was established in the 1950s, and has turned into the biggest and most professional provider of canal cruises in Amsterdam. We have always strived to provide the best canal cruises available, and with our years of experience, we know our way around the city. Canal cruises have of course been an essential part of any visit to Amsterdam, which we realise, and that's why we strive to be the very best. 

Our focus is to provide the classis canal cruise experience, showing the beautiful canal belt of Amsterdam in its glory. We go past all the highlights of the city, and provide audio tours to teach our visitors about these spots in 19 languages. But we also try to innovate. In 2016, our entire fleet of 45 boats underwent a substantial upgrade, receiving new interiors, new audio, and, of course, access to heating and Wi-Fi. We are also working on making the fleet sustainable, currently 80% of our fleet is electric, and we are working on getting this to 100% in 2026.

A Brand New Concept

Lovely Cruises offers a brand new concept, with open boat tours that go on unique routes. With a brand new fleet of open boats we set sail in 2026, ready to receive you on board and show you Amsterdam through a different lens. With comfortable luxurious open boats we are able to travel through smaller canals and take unique routes, beyond the well known routes of regular boats. The boats are electric and quiet, and equipped with a bar, and weatherproof, with blankets, umbrellas and a tarp cover on board if needed.

For our Stockholm boat tours we offer a variety of cruises, a Stockholm City Cruise past all the beautiful islands, a delicious Pizza Cruise, and an extensive Archipelago Boat Tour way past the city limits. All boats are comfortable and sustainable, and are equipped with a bar, a bathroom and free Wi-Fi, and offer great views from all sides, with departure locations right in the city centre. The boats are weatherproof, and even in the cold winters we sail, with our special Winter Holidays boat tour.

Ready when you are

Aside from regular canal cruises, we also try to innovate, and offer a broad variety of exciting and interesting canal cruise options. Our regular boats go all day, and have different departure locations for convenient exploring. We also offer a variety of options, from open boat cruises to several dinner cruises, and collaborate with partners for open boat cruises, hop-on hop-off boats, and combinations with several exciting museums and attractions in Amsterdam.

Among our offers are a four-course dinner, and a collaboration with New York Pizza, and our delightful cruise with wine and Dutch cheese, for tasty evenings on the water. We also offer arrangements for special events, such as SAIL Amsterdam and Amsterdam Light Festivals, for which we organise special tours through the heart of each festival.
