This is an amazing garden and toured on our own. Color overload and stunning. The only disapppointment I have is trying to cancel a tulip order I made at the garden in the small building that sells bulbs (near the Orchid Bldg). It is very difficult to accomplish getting a cancelation. I tried the one area on the bill twice but no acknowledgement of receipt. I have tried directly at the Keukenhof site and they can't handle this but they are at least forwarding my email/chat with agent information to the correct group and they will handle it. We have too many deer here who LOVE tulips and most other things except silk flowers. I didn't realize that with tulips - I don't have tulips but then as I thought about it - no one else does either unless behind an 8ft high fence. Just make sure you want to order bulbs because it is not easy to cancel. I have not gotten that part done yet but at least I am told it is finally being addressed by another.
We went on 16 th April ‘ 26 . Had done all direct bookings of the earliest entry , with one wheel chair. Bus booking with time slot reservation is strongly recommended. Reach half an hour early as , even for fix time , there will be a long queue. Depending on your interest but we would recommend booking for a boat ride . It’s nice experience. With Lunch and afternoon Tea Break , Boat Ride etc , will consume almost your whole day . Weather also should be on your side for good photos. While returning, surprisingly busy services were not upto the standard of Netherlands ! It could be a stray case . Many reviews say that it’s half a day trip but it would be better , if you don’t plan any thing till around 4.00/ 5.00 pm till you are out of the Garden. It’s excellent. All facilities are fairly good . Water bottle like any other place will cost equivalent to a coffee ! Admission fee , Wheelchair charges , all are reasonable.
This is definitely a value for money must during their blooming season in Netherlands. Make sure you buy the tour with unlimited time return because you will not regret when you are amazed by this huge garden of Tulips. I am not a flower lover but after touring numerous Rose gardens of various countries this is the first time it made me so happy after looking at these tulips. We spent 6 hours in it non stop taking photos.
rented bikes there and rode around 2 hours to see nearby tulip fields; then went into gardens for 3 hours; then rode to Lisse 10 minutes down road and back.
Don’t miss a chance to see this magnificent garden. Spent 3 hours strolling the meticulously groomed tulip displays. Imagine tulips of every hue, shape, and size surrounding you. Simply Stunning!
This garden should be considered one of the wonders of the natural world. In my view you need a day as it is so amazing and there is so much to see. It will genuinely blow you away with the vibrancy of the colours and displays. (Put some time aside for bulb shopping as you will be inspired 😍🤩) only tips, - get the earliest bus you can as there was quite a lot of traffic delays and you need as much time as you can in the gardens.. - take your own picnic (loads of places to have a glorious outdoor lunch) the food inside not great and expensive. - if you can visit the flower parade it passes right out the front of the gardens and is also amazing. Have fun
My son gave me the best early Mother’s Day gift in flying me to Amsterdam and touring the Keukenhof Gardens. We went on Tuesday, April 19th and the weather conditions were great mid 50s and sunny but best of all the Tulips were in full bloom! What color, and awesome layout of varying types all over the park. It was eye popping and so vivid! Really, mid April is the best time to go and just enjoy the beauty and splendor of all that awaits at Keukenhof Gardens.
It is glorious! Banks and banks of tulips! A once in a lifetime experience! My only recommendation is to go as early as possible. Disregard the time for your bus ride, just get on the first possible bus. The bus ride takes 45 minutes. By noon, the place is overly full and hard to enjoy.
The Keukenhof Gardens are remarkably impressive, featuring an extensive collection of tulip varieties. While considerable walking is required, visitors have the option to pre-arrange a guided boat tour around the gardens; however, this amenity was unfortunately fully booked at the time of my visit.
We visited in mid-April when the tulips were in full bloom, and it was absolutely beautiful! We arrived later in the day and spent almost four hours there, but only explored the outer areas. I’d recommend going in the morning and spending the whole day to fully enjoy everything the gardens have to offer. There was also an orchid display in one of the buildings that was incredibly informative, with many different varieties on display. Throughout the gardens, there are plenty of places to sit, relax, and take in the scenery, as well as spots to grab a sweet treat or a meal. I’d also recommend looking into the combi ticket available through the train stations listed on their website. It includes a direct bus to and from the station along with entry, and you can choose between different departure stations, which gives you some flexibility.
This place blew me away. The amount of beautfiul flowers was unbelievable. I easily took over 200 picutes! Great souviener shopping as well. This is the reason we went ot Amsterdam!
Beautiful display of Flowers in a stunning park with many different trails and areas to discover. Have to fight through crowds at times but not horrendous. Well worth a visit
We have been before; we are still in awe over this incredible garden display of spring flowers. We are thankful to be able to visit multiple times this year. 3 hours minimum and rent bikes to see tulips in the fields. A must.
A place of breathtaking beauty. We were lucky because it was a beautiful sunny day. The variety of tulips on display was amazing. The displays, arrangements and mass plantings were an absolute joy to see. We did the afternoon tour because it was cheaper. We intend to go again next year and will bring a picnic and do the full day visit (the restaurants are expensive)There is so much to see. I am guessing we only got to about 50% of the gardens. Good value for €32.00.
I'm impressed and for all the right reasons. From landing in Amsterdam and meeting our host at the airport; we were treated like first class as we were wisped away in a luxury van, and brought to our awaiting long boat Viking Freya. Checking in was a breeze, and off to our stateroom that was impeccable. We had time for a nap after our long flight. We went to dinner and met our wonderful waiters Antonio and Joseph, and our Maître d’ Phillip , they were lively and bubbly, and by the second day they had our names, favorite drinks, and dietary concerns memorized. The dining room had floor to ceiling windows with great views sailing around The Netherlands & Belgium. The food onboard the ship was always fresh and tasty delights with choices of local, Americanized, and chef's cuisine. The ship had only 190 guest and we met about fifty percent of them from all over the ten days, and met some very interesting and friendly people. The included tour was very beautiful and informative. We only paid for one extra tour to the Tulip farm and learned a lot about the tulip industry in Holland. We had port briefs every evening for the next day activities, and we always had time to walk and shop. Every evening the lounge was the place to be and socialize with other passengers with music. The last day in Amsterdam was the highlight of the river cruise seeing the Keukenhof Gardens. The gardens were huge with over 70 acres of viewing 7 millions tulips in bloom. Just like when we arrived; Viking had a plan on how to disembark, and get to the airport for going home. Even at the airport they escorted and directed us to the correct airline to check into. If every Viking ship was like the Viking Freya, I would without hesitation book and cruise with Viking again in the future. They blew me away and all the competition (some of the
What an amazing place to visit in spring. This is such a unique place, vast in its size and full to the brim with incredible flowers. I have never seen such wonderful variations of tulips. It was such a wonderful experience. Would highly recommend to anyone who appreciates flowers. Also, the hot chocolate purchased was incredibly tasty.
Truly World Class!!! First time i saw this much Tulips!!!
Visited here on a hop on hop off tour... Because we had pre booked tickets we went straight in so no queue for tickets... Be prepared to walk lots.. The gardens are huge, we spent over three hours here, they are simply stunning, millions of tulips set out in huge beds and woodland, photo opertunities are everywhere. There are buildings all the way round offering cafes and plenty of clean toilets.. the ice creams are great by the way..we did sit down occasionally to take it all in and rest whilst looking at the stunning water features
Beautiful gardens. Worth a visit. Better to go earlier as place gets crowded in afternoon. It’s only open 8 weeks in spring every year. Hop on hop off bus tour was efficient and well organized.
We have a beautiful morning at the gardens. Our tour was two short. only 1.5 hours at the gardens is not long enough to enjoy the experience.
WOW…words can’t express the colour explosion you experience at this attraction. The myriad of photos you’ll take during the day won't do justice to the kaleidoscope of colours on display. Quite simply, you just have to go, early in the day before the crowds build, and view the spectacular display gardens in their native habitat with your own eyes and live the experience in the moment. It’s sensational, and you won’t be at all disappointed with the €30 entrance/parking fee. It really is a place every gardener should visit once in their lifetime!
This is indeed a very special place. The tulips were in full bloom, as were other types of flowers. Parking was easy, the crowds weren't at all oppressive, and the windmill and the pavilions were nice additions to a leisurely stroll through the gorgeous, brightly colored beds. I felt lucky to have been in The Netherlands at just the right time of year to enjoy the short window of opportunity a tourist had to visit this not-so-secret garden. I can't recommend it highly enough.
This is a must do if you visit Amsterdam especially during the tulip season; which was our reason for going. It had been on my wife’s bucket list and it certainly lived up to expectations. We went with “This is Holland”which I have reviewed separately. I would highly recommend them as it made the trip very easy and hassle free👍 The gardens themselves are awesome and cover a large area so ensure you have the right footwear and clothing!! There are extremely good facilities inside and out of the gardens including plenty of cafes, ice cream vendors and restaurants alongside the obligatory gift shops!!😀😀you are also allowed to take in a picnic and there are spaces for that. Its very accessible, no steps and with ramps where needed. It also was dog friendly but as well as us humans a lot of the grass areas where out of bounds!!😀 The gardens are immaculate showing off thousands of the tulips in amazing planting schemes in a formal setting, in drifts and in woodland areas all underplanted giving lots of ideas and settings for any garden I especially liked the drifts 👍 They must have worked hard to produce these displays and are clearly talented plants people. If that was not enough the hot house contained some amazing displays and a wide variety of indoor house plants in various beds to show them off. Well worth a visit as was the Orangery with its cut flower displays I could go on, but if you love gardens this is a must visit and one that you could return to as we certainly did not cover it all !!
It’s the MUST SEE destination in The Netherlands during Tulip Season. A theme park of flower gardens. Beautiful to see! 7,000,000 bulbs in a rainbow of floral colors. Go early! After 10:00 the crowds are unbearably large.
I'm not a fan of flowers but found the gardens stunning. It is a must-visit if you're there in April. You do not have to follow a tour if you wish to have more flexibility in making your own way there. Be sure to check the routes on the website. To avoid crowds, go there as early as possible. Tourists start coming in at 10am and it gets really crowded. If you're not a fussy eater, I'd suggest preparing sandwiches to save you time from a sit-down meal there. You can easily spend half a day there taking photos and walking most of it. The only downside is that the souvenirs are not very nice. The designs look outdated but everyone's there for the real flowers, so it's not a big issue at all.
Great experience. Only 5 weeks a year you can enjoy this wonderful display of flowers. I was there 4 hours and missed getting up the windmill and the boat!
We were one of the first through the gates at 8 o’clock, the gardens are outstanding. We spent 5 1/2 hours walking around, we took the whisper boat cruise, it truly was an amazing experience. The staff were fantastic, we ate at one of the restaurants which was fairly priced and took in a couple of the exhibitions, which were fantastic. We took lots of photographs and video which will provide us with memories for many a year, that being said, we will return!
We sent 4 hours here on a Sunday morning. Go early - it gets crowded by noon. Totally worth the crowds. Not just tulips! Earlier in the season there are daffodils. Hyacinths, grape hyacinths, azalea, rhododendron, Lenten Rose, all sorts of beautiful spring flowers. Magnolia, crab apples, and other flowering trees and shrubs. So many picture opportunities. Be sure to visit the Windmill - you are in the Netherlands! Souvenirs are unique and reasonably priced. Food is available - some Asian and veggie options - ice cream - each food building is different. Again, prices are not jacked up. Visit the calliope and fun fountains for a break. Bring a jacket and rain apparel - although I had great weather there are no guarantees.
Have wanted to visit Keukenhof Gardens for a long time and I wasn't disappointed. Stunning displays of beautiful tulips and lots of other plants too. Views over the tulip fields so colourful. Clean site with helpful staff. Good restaurants around the site with clean loos. So glad we visited.
Booked the combi tickets with Qbuzz travel from Amsterdam RAI. The gardens were fantastic & well worth visiting, however the bus from Amsterdam was pretty poor, we arrived on time & then given the option to board the bus & stand all the way (c.30 minutes) or wait 30 minutes for next bus! We ended up standing which was not a great start to the day.
I spent five or six hours at Keukenhof in mid-April with three friends, and it was delightful! Three of us arranged for a bus (through the Keukenhof website) from Amsterdam, and another friend found alternative bus transportation and joined us there. Two of us had met a couple at Floralia Brussels (at the Groot Bijgaarden castle) some days before, and they warned us that we might be disappointed at Keukenhof, but we were not at all. Yes, the setting of Floralia Brussels was more beautiful, but Keukenhof was absolutely spectacular. The plantings were generally well labeled, and besides the outdoor plantings (the very fragrant hyacinths were an especial treat) there were some lovely indoor displays in glasshouses, most notably the extensive orchids in the Juliana pavilion, a large, photogenic windmill, and views of the adjacent bulb fields. At the peak of the season, and just three days before the Flower Parade, the crowds were huge, but the large acreage and well planned paths made it seem much less crowded. There were also plenty of food & beverage options, shops, rest rooms, and seating. Keukenhof should be on almost every body's bucket list, and is a must-do for gardeners and plant enthusiasts.
Why would you allow dogs in,we saw dogs peeing over the flowers. Some visitors were getting down amongst the beautiful displays for their photos, don't think that they realised what they were kneeling in.
We do like flowers and booked this as something to do whilst visiting Amsterdam We were amazed at the park- the displays are fantastic and would recommend a visit!
this was so fun the flowers were so pretty and i had a hot tour guide
DH is not a botanical garden guy and really enjoyed the garden. We spent 2 hours and could have stayed longer. Highly recommend. Tip: Buy the entrance ticket and Qbuzz bus ticket together if going by public transport.
Here you can see approximately 7 million flowers in one place
We really enjoyed the beautiful gardens and grounds! The blossom and tulips were so colour and stunning. The children loved the play area and pigs and there were lots of food options to choose from. It gets very crowded though! So many people! Which is a shame.
We were there on a Saturday, April 11, 2026. Most of the flowers were beautifully in bloom. The park is VERY neatly maintained. Keep in mind that it is a large park and that you should wear good walking shoes. You will be overwhelmed by the many colors and variety of tulips and flowers, but also by the number of people walking in the park (very crowdy). Nevertheless, it is something you really must see at least once. We had bought our parking tickets online in advance. No one asked for proof, which I can well imagine given the number of visitors who go there.
Pretty tulips! Go early in the morning because it gets packed during the day. Two or three hours tops.
My Mum decided she would like to see the tulips and windmills of Holland at the age of 72 having never before left the UK. She loved every second at the gardens. We timed it well (April 8th) - so many wonderful colours and a very warm day!
Nice garden with tulips. The kids ware bored.
A really fabulous 5 hour visit. From splendid outstanding bulb displays to super food outlets and great views from the windmill. It was mouth-wateringly BRILLIANT. Could not fault any of it. Outstanding. Coul not fail to recommend as a visit!!!
Keukenhof is extremely impressive, not a weed in sight and an enormous variety of hyacinths, tulips and narcissi. We arrived at almost peak tulip time which was very lucky. The planting is done mostly in big blocks of the same colour rather than mixing different colours together which is a bit of a shame but overall the effect is spectacular.
Absolutely beautiful and definitely worth a visit. You can easily lose 2-3 hours there wandering around looking at the tulips. Worth noting that it is incredibly busy so there are lots of crowds - to be expected but not what you will see in the pictures. Unless you arrive early the whisper boat will be booked out - we arrived at 11 and the next boat ride was 3pm. Lots of food options on site - you may have to queue but plenty of choice. If you get a bus there then, even if you book a seat at a specific time, you will be queuing for at least 30 mins as they are essentially shuttling back and forth. It is a 40 minutes journey so be aware of that if you choose to take a standing option. Recommend going in the afternoon (around 2:30/3pm) as that will still give you lots of time there but avoid the bus queues and the crowds start to die down a bit too. Bikes are available to hire at Keukenhof but about a 10 min walk back from the entrance and you don't cycle around the main park as it is too busy.
Really spectacular place. Wonderful flowers, nice range of food places and so many things to see. I could have stayed all day!
The Keukenhof is a huge showcase garden of spring flowers, open only from March to May, located beside the small town of Lisse.. The displays are stunningly good: many flowerbeds, mostly with one flower and colour each. In early April, tulips are in bloom, so there are beds with red tulips 🌷, white tulips, purple tulips and so on. The garden is huge and after three hours I had not seen it all. There are a lot of tourists - this is a major attraction, with 1.2m visitors in two months. Many arrive in coaches. However, it was not too crowded: you could still see the flowers clearly. There are several buildings in the Keukenhof with cafes, restaurants, gift shops and flower shops. Good value for 21.5 euros For travel, there are organised day trips from Amsterdam; and you can get the 854 bus from outside Leiden Central Station which takes you direct to the Keukenhof. There are two tulip farm-museums nearby which you can also visit: De Tuliperij and The Tulip Experience.
This was such an amazing experience 🌷✨ Seeing thousands of tulips right before my eyes was truly breathtakingThis was such an amazing experience 🌷✨ Seeing thousands of tulips right before my eyes was truly breathtaking — so many different kinds, all beautifully maintained and incredibly clean. The only thing I was hoping for was to see more rows of tulips like the ones on the other side, but still, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. I can’t really compare it to other tulip farms where you can pick flowers and it’s a bit cheaper — this one is more about the beauty and atmosphere. Overall, we left feeling so satisfied and completely amazed 💕🌷 — so many different kinds, all beautifully maintained and incredibly clean. Fantastic to see the floral displays, although it was so busy, it detracted from the experience a bit. Still worth a visit though, just be prepared for crowds!
What a colourful experience. So many different kinds of flowers and also people. Lots of food places and entertainment. A very good promotion for the Netherlands.
We recently included Keukenhof in one of our travel programs, and honestly, it’s one of those places that truly lives up to the expectations. The gardens are absolutely stunning — everywhere you look there are colorful flowers, creative arrangements, and a very relaxing atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you just want to slow down, walk around, and enjoy the scenery. What we really appreciated was how well everything is organized. It’s easy to explore, not stressful, and suitable for all types of visitors. Our clients loved it — especially the variety of flowers and how photogenic everything is. For many of them, it became one of the highlights of their trip. At Cistour, we genuinely recommend Keukenhof to anyone visiting the Netherlands, especially in spring. It’s simple, beautiful, and unforgettable 🌷
Very enjoyble experience, the captain of the cruise gave us a very funny and interesting description of the city, and the staff gave an excellent service.
The canal cruise was perfect, the captin come guide gave us headphones to listen in our own language. The riverboat was clean and tidy, easy to walk on and off, it was a nice day and we got some beautiful pictures!! A great end to a fantastic tourist holiday!!
We did the early evening cruise to see the lights of the city. Easy to get tickets by turning up and allocated the next cruise. There is an audio link that you can use, but we decided to just sit outside and watch the views. An hour cruise which was interesting and pretty.
We had an hour cruise around the canals in Amsterdam and learnt a lot whilst doing it. We really enjoyed every second. My five year old didn’t want to get off. The captain was also very knowledgeable.
This is a must do on your list of things to do while visiting Amsterdam. It takes you through areas that you may not be able to walk to. The captain points out things of interest and tells the story behind it.
We had a really lovely time on the one-hour canal cruise. Our captain was very lovely and cracked a good few jokes throughout the tour. The GPS guided tour via the headphones was a fab idea and there were so many language options available which was a really pleasant surprise. We learned so much about the history of the city and the tour even helped us to find places to visit again in further detail after the tour. The price was extremely reasonable considering the excellent experience we got, and our boat even left a little early which was nice. All in all, we would definitely recommend it!
We really enjoyed it. We show I I amsterdam cards at the ticket office ans were on a boat and on our way within 10 minutes. Our captain (Tony I believe was his name) was lovely ,cheerful and very knowledge of the area, he also had 2 traniees with him and they were also lovely. The facilties were clean. If I hadn't have had the I amsterdam card I would have still paid what the price was (which I think is reasonable).
1st time in Amsterdam and loved it Booked on the Lovers Canal cruise early in the morning to get a feel for the city and to get our bearings The tour showed the highlights of the city and the comentry was good
sitting backward is really annoying... Except that I think it is very nice and the captain was a nice guy, he was really funny, making jokes.
Booked through Get Your Guide literally 20 mins before boarding. They let us join a boat that was boarding as soon as we got there, which was great, no standing around as they weren’t so busy. We took a daytime trip and glad we did. Maybe evening cruises would be better in warmer months with open boats. The boat was modern, clean and warm and no condensation at all during any part of our cruise. The headphones were included and the audio commentary was interesting. The captain also added bits and pieces of extra info which was appreciated. It was a great introduction to the canals of Amsterdam as we decided to do this trip literally an hour after arriving in Amsterdam. It helped us with our bearings and with general historical info about the city. The reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is that we seemed to stay on one canal, no museums seen, no Anne Frank house, nothing like that, which was a shame as lots of tourists probably visit these places afterwards. Maybe the canal boat starting from the museums area take that route? We took the one from the station. There are lots of canal boat companies, but we were more than happy with Lovers as their boats appear a lot more modern than many others we saw. I would definitely recommend the cruise and my teenage daughter said it was one of the nicest things we did when in Amsterdam.
A amazing tour with some great canal boat skills performed and a great host. This tour is very much for couples and being alone I felt a little out of place.
Done the open boat tour during the summer. A great way to see the city and the audio guide gave plenty of information along the way. Extremely relaxing to the point I almost fell asleep half way around. Would definitely do the tour again if I’m back in Amsterdam
Guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Although it rained, I still enjoyed the tour. The only complaint was the audio was difficult to hear at times.
Nice relaxing hour around the canals. Duco (sorry if I have not got the name correct) was informative with history and fun facts. Would recommend.
It was educational, slowed down at the right places. The pilot was polite and explained well- was fun and energetic.
Partenza vicino ala stazione centrale. Durata circa un ora. Visita dei canali principali di Amsterdam. Da provare
