Pancake Boat in Amsterdam

Step on board the Pancake boat and discover the best way to try traditional Dutch Pancakes. This 75-minute cruise will take you on the IJ River, which splits the city, with the Amsterdam North district to the north of the river and the city centre and other districts to the south of the river.

During the cruise, you’ll have access to an all-you-can-eat buffet of Dutch pancakes, including mouth-watering toppings like Dutch cheese, syrup, bacon, fruit, chocolate, marmalade and much, much more. So make sure you’re hungry when you get on board!

Sights to see

During the pancake boat tour through Amsterdam you will sail on the IJ River. On the north shore you can see the modern side of Amsterdam with the A’DAM Tower, the EYE Film Museum and the THIS IS HOLLAND attraction.

While the southern shore of the river includes Amsterdam's Central Station and access to the canals. In summer you’ll most likely also see the huge cruise ships that dock in the harbour or at the Passenger Terminal. It’s always a sight to behold. Kids won’t have a chance to get bored during the cruise either, at the back of the boat you’ll find an enormous ball pit where they can play throughout the cruise.

Best pancakes in town

Eating traditional Dutch pancakes is something you can't miss out on when you visit the Netherlands. The pancakes are usually larger and much thinner than their American counterparts yet a little thicker than crepes.

The best way to eat them is to load them up with toppings and that’s exactly what you get a chance of doing during this pancake cruise. And whether you use cutlery or not is completely up to you. Get ready to try some of the best pancakes in the city!
