Due to the coronavirus, we had to halt our operations for some time in both 2020 and 2021. We spend that time preparing to sail the canals of Amsterdam again in the safest way possible. Now that we have reopened please keep in mind that, for the time being, our services are subjected to the necessary restrictions to protect your health and the health of our beloved colleagues.
We are excited and look forward to welcoming you again on board our boats! And we want to share with you a few tips and some of the measures we took in order to reassure you so you can enjoy your experience with us to the fullest.
If you still have some questions after checking the information below, please feel free to contact us (firstname.lastname@example.org). We will be more than happy to help!
General safety measures & local information
Are face masks required on board?
Yes, wearing a face mask is mandatory during your trip.
Do we have to book a time slot for the 1 hour cruise?
Yes, this is necessary. You can choose your date and time when buying the entrance tickets.
How can we make a booking via surprise factory for the dinner cruise?
Please e-mail us a photo of the gift card on email@example.com, plus the desired date and time, number of people and menu choice. Then we can make the booking and send you the confirmation.
What is the maximum number of people on a boat?
That depends on the boat. However, we always adhere to the guidelines of RIVM (the Dutch National Institute for Public Health).
What docking points do you have now because of corona rules?
Our permanent dock will remain at Prins Hendrikkade 25 and we also cruise from our dock near the Anne Frank House for selected cruises. The departure point of each cruise is mentioned on the product pages.
Can I cancel or change a Stadspas booking?
No, unfortunately the bookings made with Stadspas cannot be cancelled. However and when informing us in advance, we can reschedule the tickets for you.
Until what time do LOVERS sail?
This changes regularly. The last available time slot is the last sailing time you can select when booking online.
Do you sail every day?
Yes, we sail every day from Prins Hendrikkade 25.
Can I sit at the same table on the boat with my daughter-in-law / brother-in-law / etc, so related to each other but not living in the same house?
We adhere to the guidelines of RIVM.
Is it safe for me to go on a cruise?
Yes, the safety of our guests and colleagues is essential to us. We want you to fully enjoy your experience, that is why we are strictly following the safety and hygiene guidelines from the Dutch government. Our colleagues are well aware of the current rules and protocols and will help you and guide you during your canal cruise.
What safety measures are being used to make sure my visit is as safe as possible?
As mentioned before, all our cruises are subject to the necessary restrictions. Hereby you can think of restrictions on the number of guests allowed on the venue/activity (reduced groups), but also about the fact that tickets must be purchased in advance and with a time slot.
These restrictions will help us to prevent crowds and to protect our guests and colleagues from coronavirus.
Do I need a COVID-19 Certificate to board a cruise?
As of 6 November 2021 entry to all of our cruises will require everyone over the age of 12 to show a COVID-19 Certificate with a negative test result (no older than 24 hours), proof of vaccination or proof of recovery. Whether a cruise requires this certificate can be found on the product page. For more information about the COVID-19 Certificate please visit this website from the Dutch government.
I would like to go on a canal cruise with a group/school, is this possible?
This depends on the size of the group. Please keep in mind that due to the restrictions implemented to stop the spread of coronavirus, if you travel with a big group, it might not be possible to all enter at the same time. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for any group enquires.
Can I cancel and get a refund for my tickets?
If you purchased your tickets via a 3rd party (such as Groupon, Actie van de dag, Vakantieveiligen, etc.) we kindly ask you to get in touch with them for a cancelation.
When purchased on our website, the following tickets can be cancelled up to 8 hours before the start of the activity: the Canal cruise from Central Station and from Anne Frank House, the Semi-Open Boat cruise, the Evening Canal cruise, and the New York Pizza by LOVERS cruise.
