You’ll see all the beautiful light art of the annual Amsterdam Light Festival after you’ve enjoyed an appetizing meal at our LOVERS Café.

The 11th edition of the Amsterdam Light Festival has the theme Imagine Beyond. With this theme, the festival will take you on a journey to the world of imagination. Imagination allows us to envision the day of tomorrow however we like, we can dream beyond the here and now. Step inside our LOVERS Café for a pleasant meal before walking down the quay for a cruise past the various light art.

A favourite Dutch meal

An hour before you hop on board for your canal cruise, you can step inside the cosy LOVERS Café to enjoy a meal which is a favourite amongst many Dutch people and only available at the Café during the Amsterdam Light Festival. Your ticket will include the canal cruise, the meal and a drink from the Dutch bar.

The menu for the meal consists of a mix of Indonesian and Dutch foods: satay, fries, and acar with onion. Indonesian foods have become an integral part of Dutch cuisine due to the shared colonial history. The satay on the menu is seasoned chicken, skewered with a spicy peanut sauce, and acar is pickled vegetables.

From the water, you have a first-class view of the Amsterdam Light Festival, while you can relax and take it all in. The water route of the festival is designed in such a way that you can see all the artworks that are both on the canals and on the quayside. The quay of Lovers Canal Cruises is a 2-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station and is therefore easily accessible by train, metro and bus.

During the Amsterdam Light Festival LOVERS guests can exclusively park their car at a discount at the Prins Hendrikkade parking garage from Qpark. For availability and reserving a parking spot check the Qpark website.
