Wir hatten einen super symphatischen Bootsführer der viele Nebeninfos gab. War schön und informativ. 1 Stunde hat gut gereicht und empfehlenswert. Gute Karte erhalten für den Treffpunkt und pünktlich, sowie sauber.

Die Stunde waren zwar nur ca. 50 Minuten, aber die Tour war wunderschön. Unbedingt abends machen, die Atmosphäre ist unbeschreiblich!

Sehr nette Bootstour über die Kanäle von Amsterdam! Man bekommt viele interessante Informationen über die Stadt und deren Geschichte erzählt.

El tour está muy bien, en cambio si ya has hecho un freetour por la ciudad recomiendo el crucero primero, te da una vista más general, mi amiga y yo al haber hecho antes el freetour volvimos a ver sitios en los que ya habíamos estado.

The canal cruise was perfect, the captin come guide gave us headphones to listen in our own language. The riverboat was clean and tidy, easy to walk on and off, it was a nice day and we got some beautiful pictures!! A great end to a fantastic tourist holiday!!

We did the early evening cruise to see the lights of the city. Easy to get tickets by turning up and allocated the next cruise. There is an audio link that you can use, but we decided to just sit outside and watch the views. An hour cruise which was interesting and pretty.

We had an hour cruise around the canals in Amsterdam and learnt a lot whilst doing it. We really enjoyed every second. My five year old didn’t want to get off. The captain was also very knowledgeable.

Giro dei canali in barca assolutamente da consigliare. Audioguida in italiano e Simon simpaticissimo conducente che comunque dava ulteriori informazioni in inglese. La durata è di un'ora ma ci è dispiaciuto scendere!!

La promenade sur les canaux dure une heure. Les audio guides permettent de suivre les commentaires dans différentes langues. Le long de cette promenade fluviale, nous découvrons l'histoire de la ville et des monuments "célèbres". Par contre, le confort est rudimentaire.

Las vistas son preciosas, aunque desde posición incómoda porque el barco estaba muy lleno. El capitán muy simpático e hizo agradable el viaje.

We had a really lovely time on the one-hour canal cruise. Our captain was very lovely and cracked a good few jokes throughout the tour. The GPS guided tour via the headphones was a fab idea and there were so many language options available which was a really pleasant surprise. We learned so much about the history of the city and the tour even helped us to find places to visit again in further detail after the tour. The price was extremely reasonable considering the excellent experience we got, and our boat even left a little early which was nice. All in all, we would definitely recommend it!

We really enjoyed it. We show I I amsterdam cards at the ticket office ans were on a boat and on our way within 10 minutes. Our captain (Tony I believe was his name) was lovely ,cheerful and very knowledge of the area, he also had 2 traniees with him and they were also lovely. The facilties were clean. If I hadn't have had the I amsterdam card I would have still paid what the price was (which I think is reasonable).

Booked through Get Your Guide literally 20 mins before boarding. They let us join a boat that was boarding as soon as we got there, which was great, no standing around as they weren’t so busy. We took a daytime trip and glad we did. Maybe evening cruises would be better in warmer months with open boats. The boat was modern, clean and warm and no condensation at all during any part of our cruise. The headphones were included and the audio commentary was interesting. The captain also added bits and pieces of extra info which was appreciated. It was a great introduction to the canals of Amsterdam as we decided to do this trip literally an hour after arriving in Amsterdam. It helped us with our bearings and with general historical info about the city. The reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is that we seemed to stay on one canal, no museums seen, no Anne Frank house, nothing like that, which was a shame as lots of tourists probably visit these places afterwards. Maybe the canal boat starting from the museums area take that route? We took the one from the station. There are lots of canal boat companies, but we were more than happy with Lovers as their boats appear a lot more modern than many others we saw. I would definitely recommend the cruise and my teenage daughter said it was one of the nicest things we did when in Amsterdam.

A amazing tour with some great canal boat skills performed and a great host. This tour is very much for couples and being alone I felt a little out of place.

Done the open boat tour during the summer. A great way to see the city and the audio guide gave plenty of information along the way. Extremely relaxing to the point I almost fell asleep half way around. Would definitely do the tour again if I’m back in Amsterdam

Guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Although it rained, I still enjoyed the tour. The only complaint was the audio was difficult to hear at times.

Mein zweiter Trip nach Amsterdam incl zweiten Besuch im durchaus sehenswerten Van Goch Museum hat mich dazu gebracht, mal über die Kosten des Reisens im Allgemeinen und zu Museen im Besondere nachzudenken. Spoiler: Hauptsächlich deshalb, weil ich mich über die meiner Meinung nach überzogenen Preise in Amsterdam ärgere. Setzen wir mal die Eintrittspreise einiger europäischer Kunstmuseen die ich besucht habe in Relation: 25€ für die Uffizien in Florenz (x-mal größer als Amsterdam...) 24€ für das Van Goch Museum Amsterdam 22€ für den Louvre in Paris (ca 20x größer als das VG-Museum Amterdam) 20€ für die Vaticanischen Museen in Rom, gigantisch... 16€ für das Musee D'Orsay in Paris (größer als VG....) 14€ für das Musee Marmottam in Paris (für die Monet-Liebhaber, kleiner als das VG) 12,70 für die Courtauld Gallery in London (ehr klein, aber tolle Bilder) 12,50€ für das Musee de l'Orangerie in Paris 12€ für das Musee des Impressionnismes Giverny 0€ für alle staatlichen Museen in London, wie z.B. dem Tate, dem Tate-Modern, der National Gallary, National Portrait Gallery und viele weitere Museen... Mein nicht-objektives Fazit: das Van Goch Museum in Amsterdam ist gemessen am Gebotenen das teuerste Museum, welches ich jemals in Europa besucht habe. Und zum Reisen gehört ja auch das ANreisen: 90€ für 2 Tage Parken in Amsterdam im Parkhaus ! Ich habe schon für knapp 100-120€ die Woche in Parkhäusern in Paris und London gestanden und letzte Woche für 72€ hatte ich 4 Tage lang in Leipzig einen Parkplatz. Fazit: Parken in Amsterdam bedeutet mit Abstand das meiste Geld, welches ich jemals im Leben für Parken bezahlt habe. Und dann kommt die 'Tourismusabgabe': 12,5% in Amsterdam unter 3% waren es in Paris unter 3% waren es in Paris unter 1% bei z.B. 200€ die Nacht in London, macht ca 1,14€ pro Person/Nacht Fazit: Amsterdam verlangt die höchsten Tourismusabgaben Europas. (Hab's auch noch mal gegoogelt...) Also für mich war's Das jetzt erstmal mit Urlaub in Amsterdam und den Niederlanden. Vergleichsweise nah von Deutschland aus bedeutet nicht 'vergleichsweise preiswert', im Gegenteil. Werde meine nächsten Urlaube vorzugsweise wieder in London und Paris verbringen, denn dort ist es sowohl preiswerter als das auch signifikant mehr geboten wird.

Eine unglaublich gut gemachte, absolut sehenswerte Präsentation von formatsprengenden Werken des Anselm Kiefer, der früh von Van Gogh beeinflusst wurde, im Zusammenhang mit ausgewählten Bildern des Van Gogh. Die Ausstellung ist so getaktet, dass Besucher nur zu bestimmten Zeiten eingelassen werden, so ist genug Raum und Ruhe, die Bilder zu genießen. Das Thema wird im angrenzenden Staedelijk Museum fortgeführt. Gute Audioführung! Tickets früh online buchen ist eine Empfehlung.

Anzahl und Präsentation der Gemälde haben ebenso positiv überrascht wie die Architektur des Museums. Dass man nicht erwarten kann, sich das Museum mit ein paar wenigen Besuchern zu teilen dürfte naheliegend sein - und dass es keine Möglichkeit gäbe, kurzfristig an zurückgegebene Eintrittskarten zu kommen, ist eine Mär: Man muss nur freundlich mit den gestressten Museumsmitarbeitern reden, und es tun sich legale MIttel und Wege auf....

das Museum kann mit dem "Munch" in Oslo mithalten ... drei Etagen sind dem Leben und Werk van Gogh's gewidmet. Klassische Ausstellung und Multimedia-Elemente sind enthalten (die Texte vielleicht ein bisschen old fashioned) Es gab eine Kinder-Abteilung, einen vielseitigen Museums-Shop und ein tolles Café zum ausruhen ... und ich hatte das Glück, dass aktuell eine Sonderschau zu den Impressionisten (Frankreich und der Einfluss auf die Niederländer) zu sehen war.

Als erstes: Hier muss man rechtzeitig die Tickets im Internet buchen - mit 22€ sind sie aber sicher nicht überteuert und bei uns hat das bestens funktioniert. Die teuren Angebote mit Führung und "ohne Wartezeit" kann man sich ersparen. Die Bilder und das Leben van Goghs sind im Museum gut beschrieben. Zweitens: Das Museum ist sehr populär und ist trotz Besucherrationierung gut gefüllt. Man muss sich also je nach Bild etwas "durchkämpfen". Und drittens: Der Shop hat uns ausnehmend gut gefallen - besser als derjenige nahbei ... Eine schöne Erfahrung also!

Das Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam ist sehr empfehlenswert. Man konnte sehr viele berühmte Gemälde von Van Gogh sehen und wer sich für Kunst interessiert ist hier zu 100% richtig.

Sehr interessantes, toll gestaltetes Museum. Wurde von der Schwägerin und Neffen von Vincent van Gogh aufgebaut und diesen familiären Flair spürt man.

Im Van-Gogh-Museum ist die größte Sammlung der Werke des namensgebenden Künstlers weltweit zu bestaunen. Die Sonnenblumen und viele weitere bekannte Meisterwerke sind zu sehen. Ein Muss in Amsterdam!

Viele berühmte Bilder und Galerien. Der Platz ist riesig und schön. Ich wollte nur suchen "Selfie Wall" Aber ich kann es nicht finden.

Die Tragische Geschichte und seine Bilder werden den Besuchern auf eine abwechslungsreiche Weise nahe gebracht. Man kann gut selbständig ohne oder mit Guide die Ausstellung geniessen.

In meiner Jugend in Versailles, lange bevor diese wahnsinnigen Preise für die Bilder von Vincent van Gogh geboten wurden, hatte mich dieser Maler fasziniert. Im Pariser Louvre insbesondere „Die Kirche von Auvers“. Ich wusste, dass seine frühen Bilder meist in Brauntönen und dunkel waren. Im Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam hat mich die Anzahl der Bilder überrascht und dass er zum Schluss fast täglich ein Bild gemalt hat. Sehr sehenswerte Ausstellung! Mehr Besucher sind aber nicht sinnvoll.

Very modern, professionally organised museum/gallery - I wouldn't consider myself a particular art lover however with Van Gogh being one of the world's most famous artists in history I wanted to go during my visit to Amsterdam and wasn't disappointed. There are plentiful lockers to store your belongings in so you're not walking around in wet coats, carrying bags etc. and the café in the main atrium was nice to fuel up for the visit. The art pieces are spaced out well so only the most popular paintings are crowded and generally you can make your way around at your leisure - we didn't have a tour or audio guide (mainly because, as above, we're not that into art so wouldn't have benefited from this). The location of the museum itself was also well positioned for our trip to the Christmas markets outside, so if you are visiting Amsterdam in December this is something to note!

Really amazing art and a must go if you are an art lover! Only thing I’d say is security were very rude to me on the door. Took a picture of the outside to show my mum I was there as the tickets were her birthday gift to me, and he refused to let me enter until I deleted the picture as he thought it was of him! It was embarrassing and left a sour start to the exhibition visit. The art and staff inside was all amazing!

Fantastic exhibition and well set out. The main permanent side was definitely worth the entry alone. Looking at Van Gogh development of his artwork was insightful. We did find the temporary side of the exhibition hall a bit of a disappointment but we’d already enjoyed the main part so wasn’t a big issue.

What an incredible enriching experience. We visited the museum with the audio book option and it was amazing. I strongly recommend this option not only for kids, but for adults also. It is filled with comments and insights on the life of Van Gogh that makes the visit even more interesting.

Not usually someone who spends a lot of time in art museums, but this was a great experience. The layout is clear and the collection is fascinating, even for someone who isn’t an art expert. Definitely worth a visit if you want to see Van Gogh’s work up close without feeling rushed.

I tried going to VanGogh Museum on last visit to Amsterdam but couldn't get tickets so this trip I made sure to reserve in advance. It was well worth the wait! Be sure to reserve your tickets.

Just as I imagined, the magnificent paintings are something everyone must see. I was a fan before, but seeing them in real life brings you a totally different experience. The colors are so much more vivid in person, and you can actually see the thick texture of his brushwork on the canvas. It’s one thing to see The Potato Eaters or Almond Blossom in a book, but standing inches away from them is a total game-changer. I loved reading his personal letters too, as they made him feel like a real person rather than just a famous name. If you’re in Amsterdam, you honestly can't skip this—it’s a memory I’ll keep forever.

One of the highlights of our trip to Amsterdam was visiting the museum. The collection is so rich and varied, and seeing so many Van Gogh pieces in one place was truly unforgettable. We got there early and had the chance to enjoy the exhibits without the crowds, which made the experience even better. One of a kind experience. Getting you closer at why, when, how Van Gogh was a person and worked with his paintings. Nowhere else would you be able to experience this.

Very crowded, but the works presented here at the museum are never to be missed. Most room and work captions on the walls are well-written and very informative. Don't miss reading those. We viewed the temporary exhibition first at ground level and worked our way up floor by floor. Some people seems to go up first and work way down. I think our way is better. Don't miss the huge projected screen when you're going up and down stairs. Suddenly, the stairs become very nice photo spots. Try to be there early. We did 9:30 am slot. A must for anyone who's visiting Amsterdam or Netherlands ^^

I was genuinely surprised at how much I loved our visit here! 1) Book tickets online in advance. 2) The audio tour is brilliant and well worth paying a small amount extra for. I loved that even on the audio tour you could choose three versions, depending on how much time you have and how in-depth you want to listen. 3) Store your items in a locker - it’s free and nice to walk around with nothing to carry! 4) Either go early or go late, it is really busy in the mid afternoon. 5) Drinks are quite expensive but at the cafe, however, I saw a couple of free water fountains so bring a bottle (or buy a cool Van Gogh one while you are there!) The gallery itself is beautiful and you’ll be so pleasantly surprised at how many paintings he did!

Nous avons pu acheter des billets la veille mais nous avons eu de la chance. Préférez une visite à l ouverture pour avoir (un peu) moins de monde. La visite en audio guide est bien et permet de bien comprendre la vie de Van Gogh L expo temporaire est un zoom sur sa relation avec la famille Rollin. This museum is a must see if you are in Amsterdam. We spent more than 2 hours inside. Get the audio guide. Don’t even think about it. It is worth every single penny. It was mesmerizing to see the paintings and learn about Van Gogh in detail.

This is a truly exceptional museum. We reserved a 9AM Saturday in November,. so crowds were very manageable throughout a 2-3 hour visit. The audio tour was excellent, and a must if you don't have extensive prior knowledge about Van Gogh. Staff were plesant and helpful. The definite highlight of our visit.

De tijdelijke tentoonstelling heeft de verschillende schilderijen van de familie Roulin samengebracht. Niet slechts 5 stuks maar veel meer, verschillende versies. E.e.a. geplaatst in het tijdsbeeld in Arles. Erg leuke tentoonstelling. Voor degenen die er niet eerder zijn geweest: ook de prachtige vaste collectie bekijken!

Interesting exhibits that provide a wholistic view of Van Gogh and his life. I enjoyed learning about the bond he shared with his brother and how his sister in law and nephew championed his work after his death. The museum also addressed his mental illness respectfully and reminded visitors that was just part of his story, not his entire life. I was disappointed Starry Night was not exhibited or even mentioned anywhere. Maybe a licensing thing? Also, it was hard to get up close and study the more high profile paintings because there tended to be people crowding around the most famous works and taking pictures. This was especially annoying considering an infinite amount of pictures of pieces such as Sunflowers can be found online. The gift shop was very nice.

Let op dat je vooraf boekt met een tijdslot. Bij elk bezoek weer staan er mensen in de rij die geen toegang krijgen. Mooi bezoek aan de basiscollectie. Prima audiotour, met verschillende verhalen en keuze voor meer verdieping. Voor de kinderen leuk opdrachtenboekje met aardig presentje aan het einde. Stel je er op in dat het druk is. Het kluisjessysteem is wat aan de ingewikkelde kant met een code en een afbeelding die je moet onthouden. Mag ook gerust 'gewoon' met een sleuteltje. Door de drukte ontstaan er opstoppingen voor de terminals. Zelf vind ik bij een tentoonstelling de combinatie met de vaste expositie te veel worden voor één bezoek. Audiotours bij tijdelijke tentoonstellingen ook altijd dik op orde.

It’s a nice museum with nice art works and explanations. There is free lockers and backpack are not allowed in the exhibition, so they need to be left in the free lockers.

Ce musée est assurément un incontournable d’Amsterdam. Nous avons prix la visite audio en supplément (4,5€/pers) qui permet de mieux comprendre l’artiste et de pas se contenter de regarder. La visite se fait de manière chronologique dans la vie de VanGogh et se fait en 2h environ. Nous regrettons seulement que l’ensemble de sont œuvre ne soit pas ici.

An absolute must-see. Viewing Van Gogh's work was the experience of a lifetime and learning more about his struggles made his work come alive. Even it you are typically NOT a museum goer, a visit here is essential to a visit to the Netherlands. A word of caution: It is buy, and we were there off season, so plan an early visit and remember to rent the audio program; it adds much color to his story. It was the highlight of our visit.

I had a rainy day in Amsterdam and chose to see The Stedelijk, Moco and Van Gogh museum on the same day. Really enjoy the audio tour of the Van Gogh Museum. The information of the tour really added to the art. Went at the end of the day to minimize crowds. Highly recommend.

Ruim 3 uur doorgebracht in dit prachtig museum, waarin je helemaal meegenomen wordt in het toch wel tragische leven van Vincent Van Gogh. De moeite is ook de tijdelijke tentoonstelling van het bevriend gezin Remoulin met de speelse opzet. De audiotour geeft je extra informatie over de schilderijen en de evolutie die Van Gogh doormaakte, inclusief hoogtepunten uit zijn te korte leven. Wetende door wie dit museum tot stand is gekomen, maakt de cirkel rond. Handig zijn ook de afgesloten en gratis lockers en de winkel is ook top. Je kan er zelfs iets drinken, wat we overigens niet gedaan hebben.

We visited on our trip to Amsterdam this October, family of 4. Our kids 8 & 6 had such a fantastic time here, they enjoyed listening to the headsets and the books they were given to complete on the way around. Great experience

We took our kids here as it’s my husband’s favorite artist. It was such a special experience to share as a family. The layout is awesome, as you go up through the museum you can read about the progression of Van Gogh’s life and we learned so much. The gift shop is fantastic. We all found a souvenir to remember the visit by.

Truly a remarkable museum. We all know Van Gogh's art, but the museum does a great job explaining his brief life, productive art career, family and revolutionary approach to painting and seeing color. Book ahead, choose an early time, and get the audio tour!!!

Lots of interesting artwork to see. I didn't have an audio device (there is a charge for it) but don't feel I missed out because there is a lot of written information by each piece of art (English and Dutch). I was pleased I got to see Sunflowers: which had a large crowd standing around it and I also liked 'The Bedroom'. However, I was disappointed to see that 'Starry Night' was missing. When I checked later on I discovered it's in another museum in New York (I think). But overall, I enjoyed the experience. It's very busy and popular though. The cafe and gift shop were good too.
