Het Scheepvaartmuseum, the National Maritime Museum, shows how our culture has been shaped by the sea. Stimulating, interactive exhibits allow everyone to explore 500 years of maritime history. Attractive object exhibitions show the best from our world famous collection. We have special exhibitions for children, like See you in the Golden Age and The tale of the whale. There's is one for children under 6 years: Sal & Lori and Circus at Sea. Nobody is too old for the exciting ride Voyage at Sea and of course the famous replica of the VOC ship Amsterdam is back at the quay. Het Scheepvaartmuseum has been completely renovated but still exudes history, it is a beautiful imposing and impressive building in the heart of Amsterdam. After an one hour cruise along the canals it's just a 15 minute walk to the Maritime Museum. You could also take he bus, number 22 and 48 departs from the busstop in front of the Victoria hotel (just 30 meters from our jetty).
